The Friends of Fort Griswold will hold their second annual Open House and Bonfire at the Monument House Museum, Park Avenue in Groton, on Saturday December 9 from 11-2:30 pm. Join us around the roaring fire and sip hot beverages, enjoy tasty sweets, and toast marshmallows. Do some shopping for great books, patches, and other Fort Griswold memorabilia.
The Museum and the Monument will be open, and David Rose will lead talks about the Fort at 11:30 and 1:30. Members of the choir of the Groton Congregational Church will lead us in carols, and there will be old fashioned games for kids. Saxophone Santa will also be stopping by!
In the event of rain, the festivities will be held inside of the Monument House Museum.
